Description
An alligator at the Donnelley Wildlife Refuge in South Carolina has spotted me walking on a road above it. As I photographed, it decided to get on through the soft pluff mud and head for the point where the gators reach the road (which was about 10 feet from me). I was then "outta there"as fast as I could walk. I think he had decided that I looked tasty! Later I went back and sure enough after I left it turned 90 degrees to the right and left the scene. Almost a Close Encounter of a Prehistoric Kind moment.
