Description
Brown headed nuthatch singing as it sits on a bird bath. This bird is a native to the Southeastern US and does not migrate. It is unique in that it is one of the few birds that will use tools. meaning that it will take twig and use it to uncover leave, or stones to find food. It also walks up trees (as most birds will do) but also walks down trees (which other birds rarely do). There are only about a million of these lovely birds left. Luckily for me they do visit my feeder and birdbath.
