Native to the eucalyptus forests of eastern Australia, the kookaburra is the largest member of the Kingfisher family. This one was hanging out next to an open window in a restaurant in the town of Echuca. It was being fed bits of meat and according to folks there this bird came every day at lunch time.
Jerry Griffin retired after a career with Eastman Kodak and is living in Hilton Head, South Carolina. In his photographic career he has been a judge, author, consultant, teacher and speaker across the U.S. He has won over 250 medals and ribbons in international salons. His works have been hung in the Kodak CEO's office. After retiring he served as the Kodak Ambassador in the National Parks and on cruise ships.
