Description
Two paddle steamers tied up at the redgum wharf in the town of Echuca, Victoria, Australia. Echuca is about 116 miles from Melbourne on the Murray River. Before railroads reached there it was a primary location for transport to areas of the State of Victoria. Today paddle steamers provide tourists with excursions along the Murray. The word "echuca" comes from the aboriginal word for "meeting of the waters".
