Description
The Seven Sisters along the south coast of England, This is where the chalk substrate becomes visible. The White Cliffs of Dover are miles way along the coast. In December in England the sun doesn't get very high and provides a great sidelight to these cliffs.
At the far low spot in the cliffs is a town named Birling Gap. Years ago it was used as a smuggling port where wine from France was smuggled in to avoid the King's taxes on French goods.
This area is well know by weekend walkers and a wonderful place to just sit and take in the view.
