This great blue heron on a lagoon on Hilton Head, South Carolina has managed to catch a very large fish. Two problems... it weighs a lot and it awkward to handle. The heron caught and dropped this fish four times before it finally gave up and left empty handed and with an empty stomach.
Jerry Griffin retired after a career with Eastman Kodak and is living in Hilton Head, South Carolina. In his photographic career he has been a judge, author, consultant, teacher and speaker across the U.S. He has won over 250 medals and ribbons in international salons. His works have been hung in the Kodak CEO's office. After retiring he served as the Kodak Ambassador in the National Parks and on cruise ships.
