Description
Photographed at the Donnelley Wildlife refuge north of Beaufort, South Carolina this pair of Mottled Ducks were off to find a better place to eat. On the Facebook site What's This Bird there was a spirited debate as to whether these were American Black Ducks, Mottled Ducks or a hybrid cross with Mallards, The preponderance of opinion is that these are Mottled Ducks.
