Description
This dolphin was photographed in the Calibogue Sound between Hilton Head and the mainland of South Carolina. To breathe, a dolphin uses a hole in the top of its head called a blowhole; it first expels water to clear the hole, then takes a breath. Here you can see the water being expelled.
